Fan Bingbing： Doing public welfare is the best show even if it is considered a show

As a domestic A-list female star, Fan Bingbing has always been in the spotlight, walking the red carpet, making movies, dating… every move affects the nerves of the public and the media. "Heart of Aili" is a project to treat children with congenital heart disease in the Ali region of Tibet. Due to the high altitude of Ali region, the incidence of children with congenital heart disease is 2% to 3% higher than in other places, and the unique risk of heart disease surgery is the key to threatening the survival of this project.

No one can guarantee a 100% success rate of the surgery. Let all the children gather in Ali, then take a car from Ali to Lhasa, and then take a train to Beijing after three days of rest. During this long journey, the children and parents who have never traveled far are full of unknowns. In early 2011, the child’s sleeper bus drove into Bingkonglong on the road from Gaize County to Lhasa, but fortunately there were no serious consequences. Dazhuo, a 16-year-old girl from a pastoral area who came to Beijing in July 2011, is at risk of surgery due to her age. If she is not careful, her life will be in danger. Another child with pulmonary hypertension reaching 120 is completely dangerous…

All of this is concentrated on Fan Bingbing. If she is not careful, she will become the target of public criticism. Compared with the parents of the child, she is not at ease. Her relatives and colleagues around her have also persuaded her to give up this expensive and high-risk project many times. The photos of Ali’s medical team returning to visit the child after the surgery shocked many people, and also gave Fan Bingbing the belief and determination to persevere. Fan Bingbing said frankly: "Because of my persistence, a child’s life has been changed. Every time you go to the hospital to see the happy smile of the child after surgery, you will feel that your persistence is too right."

For children who have finished treatment, Fan Bingbing will take time with the staff to play at Madame Tussauds and aquariums in Beijing and Shanghai whenever he has time. Children who have lived on the plateau all year round have never seen a big city full of feasting and feasting, and they have a great time every trip.

In 2010, by chance, Fan Bingbing chatted with Chen Lizhi, general manager of Matt Culture, a friend who had been to Tibet many times, about Ali’s children with congenital heart disease. Immediately, she decided to do her best to help them. The "Heart of Love" public welfare project began like this. Ali’s harsh natural environment and plateau climate made many volunteers uncomfortable. Flash floods, rainstorms, collapses, and various unimaginable difficulties followed, but the annual return visit to Tibet and screening continued. Unlike other celebrities, "Heart of Love" has become a public welfare project, but it has not established a special foundation. In the words of Fan Bingbing, what he wants to do is "zero-cost charity, saving one is one". Fan Bingbing has successively found celebrities such as Li Ka-shing, Wu Yifan, Zhang Junjun and Li Chen to participate in this public welfare project. In addition to Li Ka-shing’s investment in 2 million funds, and Wu Yifan, Zhang Junjun and so on have treated several children, the rest of the money is paid by Fan Bingbing himself.

"I wish it could be simpler and more direct, after all, my team and I are limited in our strength, and we are just doing what we can." At present, "Heart of Love" is more of Fan Bingbing Studio, Mr. Chen Lizhi and his colleagues to do some work in implementation, release, screening, and contact, and also invited colleagues from the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tibet to help contact the screening place, children, and parents.

Fan Bingbing also spared no effort when using his own strength to help these children. At a charity dinner, Fan Bingbing auctioned the "crane skirt" of the 2011 Cannes Film Festival on the spot, and received a donation from a pharmaceutical group on the spot 1 million all the money into the "Heart of Love" project. He also took more than 100 rescued children to show up at the "Happy Base Camp" of Hunan Satellite TV, which made more people pay attention to this group of congenital heart disease.

Not long after Fan Bingbing and Li Chen’s love affair became public last year, the news that the two went to Tibet together as a couple quickly made headlines. In fact, on May 31 last year, in addition to Fan Bingbing and Li Chen, there were also Chen Lizhi, Zhang Junjun, Fan Bingbing Studio, The Public Welfare Department of Matt Culture, Shanghai Broad Heart Hospital, Beijing Tsinghua University First Affiliated Hospital and other volunteer teams. The whole process was not a "show of love trip" as fans thought, but a 7-day congenital heart disease screening trip in Ali area. It is reported that the members of the team who entered Tibet this time had severe altitude sickness, and Mr. Chen Lizhi also entered Tibet with the disease. For the first time in 6 years, he experienced an injection and returned in advance. Zhang Junyu donated 6-year-old Danzeng Qu Ying to bear the child’s surgery expenses and mother-daughter round-trip travel to Shanghai. Li Chen donated a portable handheld B-ultrasound detector.

For public welfare undertakings, Fan Bingbing expressed that he is not afraid of being called high-profile by others. As long as more people can understand that there are still many people in need in this society, and they can do their best to help them, it is "the best show". Fan Bingbing, who grew up in gossip, deserves to be a true queen.

Year 2011

In June, Chen Lizhi, general manager of Fan Bingbing Studio and Matt Culture Development Company, called a volunteer group to Ali, including 9 staff members from Fan Bingbing Studio, two doctors from the Heart Center of Tsinghua First Affiliated Hospital, and other volunteers. They carried a portable cardiac ultrasound device worth more than 1.2 million yuan and went to the Ali area of Tibet to confirm the diagnosis.

Year 2012

"Heart of Love" organized the third visit to Tibet and conducted the second screening and return visit of the child, with good results.

Year 2013

On September 26, Mr. Chen Lizhi, the staff of Fan Bingbing Studio, Director Li ******, the media and volunteers went to Tibet again to conduct post-operative follow-up consultations for 200 Ali children who had been treated by "Aili Heart" for three years.

2014

On June 20, the "Heart of Love" public welfare team composed of Mr. Chen Lizhi, Fan Bingbing studio staff and the medical team of Shanghai Yuanda Heart Hospital flew to Ali, Tibet for the fifth consecutive year. During the 10-day trip, they screened 5 schools in Pulan County, 2 schools in Zanda County, and 2 schools in Ritu County, totaling 2242 children.

2015

On May 31, a team composed of Fan Bingbing, Chen Lizhi, Zhang Junjing, Li Chen, Fan Bingbing Studio, The Public Welfare Department of Matt Culture, Shanghai Yuanda Heart and Chest Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Beijing Tsinghua University, and volunteers conducted a 7-day screening trip for congenital heart disease in Ali area, and went to 8 screening locations: Pulan County People’s Hospital, Menshi Township Primary School, Ritu County Doma Township Primary School, Ritu County Primary School, Rebang Township Primary School, Risong Township Primary School, Baga Township Tarqin Primary School, and Hall Township Primary School, examined more than 1,800 children, and confirmed 16 cases of sick children requiring surgery.

On August 13, Fan Bingbing donated 1 million yuan to the families of the fire fighters who died in the 812 Tianjin accident to express his deepest respect to the soldiers.
