CMA architecture empowers Geely China Star Double Flagship to complete the extreme challenge.
    On March 12th, China Star Double Flagship staged a wonderful and exciting extreme challenge in Sanya. During the activity, China Xingshuang Flagship carried out three extreme challenges, namely, soaring in corners, seesaw at high altitude and steel Weiya, which showed the performance, safety and quality of Geely CMA architecture system.
    At the event site, Fan Junyi, general manager of Geely Automobile Sales Company, announced that Chiu Man-Cheuk had become the "China Star Ambassador", and officially announced that the market guidance price of Xingyue L 8AT two-wheel drive flagship model was 168,200 yuan, providing users with another brand-new choice.

    In the "fast" move-the curve hurricane challenge, the newly launched Xingyue L 8AT two-wheel drive flagship and speedboat staged a visual feast of extreme hurricane on land and sea. Xingyue L started fast, the acceleration in the latter part continued to be strong, and the 100-kilometer corner accelerated by 7.9s, winning the first move.
    Xingyue L 8AT two-wheel drive flagship model is fast, mainly due to its 2.0TD high-power engine+Aisin 8AT new transmission. This Drive-E 2.0TD luxury engine has a maximum power of 175kW and a peak torque of 350N·m, and won the "Top Ten Ward Engines" for three consecutive years. The engine adopts high-efficiency supercharging technology, and the maximum speed of turbocharger /min 200,000 rpm, which makes the low-speed response faster. With the intervention of 1000 rpm turbine, the output torque is 160N·m, and the maximum output torque is 350N·m at 1800rpm.
    In terms of transmission, the flagship model of Xingyue L 8AT two-wheel drive is matched with the 8AT gearbox of Aisin Seiki, making it the only two-wheel drive model equipped with 8AT in Xingyue L. Aisin 8AT reduces the friction coefficient of the tooth surface through a new gear processing method, thus reducing the energy loss when the gear is engaged. Aisin 8at has all-round advantages such as efficient power transmission, smooth transmission, high reliability, low noise and small vibration, and perfectly transmits the power to the wheels. With CMA wire-controlled chassis operating stably, Xingyue L 8AT two-wheel drive flagship curve accelerates 7.9s per 100km, and straightly accelerates 7.5s. The fuel consumption is 6.9L under NEDC working condition.
    In the "tough" trick-high-altitude seesaw challenge, Xingyue L climbed a 37-degree high slope, reached the top of the 10-meter-high slope, stopped at the center of the seesaw accurately, and then drove down smoothly from the other end of the seesaw, showing excellent four-wheel drive climbing ability, precise power control and braking performance.
    According to the person in charge of CMA vehicle R&D of Geely Brand Research Institute, Xingyue L adopts CMA world-class architecture, and combines the world-leading "chassis by wire" with innovative design to realize centralized calculation of vehicle-related data such as braking system, transmission system, steering system, power system and induction system of chassis, with joint debugging, joint control, more positive feedback response and more direct driving intention. Secondly, whether the braking is more linear and whether the continuous braking is more stable. The good braking performance of Xingyue L benefits from the adoption of Italy ITT copper-free brake pads, oversize vacuum booster, oversize front ventilation disc and rear solid disc, and exclusive customized Goodyear Eagle F1 high-performance tires, which have strong grip and stable handling.
    Equipped with Borgwarner’s sixth-generation four-wheel drive system, Xingyue L four-wheel drive version realizes 50:50 front and rear axle torque distribution, which brings stronger off-road performance and passing performance. Even on wet and rugged roads, it can quickly adjust the power distribution of four wheels, and the maximum climbing angle can reach 37. Compared with the fifth generation, the performance of the sixth generation four-wheel drive has been improved in an all-round way, with the maximum bearing torque increased by 19%, the response speed increased by 16.7%, the torque accuracy increased by 33.3%, and the weight reduced by 15.8%, achieving stronger power, faster response, more accuracy and lighter weight, which can be handled calmly regardless of climbing mountains and stepping on snow.
    In the "steady" trick-steel Weiya challenge, the gap data of three points of Xingrui car door at rest are measured at first, which are 3.4mm, 3.5mm and 3.4mm respectively. During the challenge, the B-pillar on one side of Xingrui is connected with the crane, and another Xingrui is suspended through the suspension of the front and rear cars. The B-pillar connected with the crane bears 3T load, and finally the vehicle is suspended for swing test. After the challenge, the data of the three points of Xingrui are 3.4mm, 3.6mm and 3.5 mm. After comparison, there is only a slight change of 0.1mm before and after suspension, and the challenge is successful.
